l. Recalls the June 1996 ACP-EC Apia Council conclusions on Somalia; 2. Reiterates Somalia's political adherence to the Lomé Convention ; 3. Welcomes the initiatives and concerted efforts undertaken by the IGAD Member States, the OAU, the EU and several countries in favour of reconciliation and nation building in Somalia and encourages further positive developments in that sense; 4.
