Faced with this prospect, the association with the EU, which is identified with a model of society based on the social market economy, takes on particular relevance as the representative of a more integrated interregional cooperation model without pretensions to hegemony and not only compatible with, but actually conducive to, development of the integration process in the "Southern Cone" and throughout the Latin American region.
Face à cette perspective, l'association avec l'UE, comprise comme porteuse d'un modèle de société basé sur l'économie sociale de marché, revêt une importance particulière, en tant qu'exemple de coopération interrégionale plus intégrale, sans visées hégémoniques et non seulement compatible avec le processus d'intégration dans le Cône Sud et toute la région latino-américaine mais également facteur d'approfondissement de celui-ci.
