In view of this, will the Council at the WTO meeting in Qatar, pursue the issue of the right to prohibit imports of a product on the grounds that it was processed using a process with a significant negative impact on the environment, or that it contains substances which are prohibited in the EU, and which leak out into the environment either when the product is used or when it is treated as waste?
À cet égard, le Conseil pourrait-il préciser si, dans le cadre de la prochaine réunion de l'OMC au Qatar, il entend aborder la question du droit d'interdire l'importation d'un produit au motif que son processus de fabrication a un effet négatif prononcé sur l'environnement, ou que le produit contient des substances interdites dans l'Union européenne, qui sont libérées dans l'environnement lors de l'utilisation du produit ou au moment de son traitement à l'état de déchet?
