The magnetic pull of the EU’s success, its values and institutions, have helped to transform first southern, then central and eastern Europe and the prospect of EU membership is now spreading reform and stability to Turkey and across the Western Balkans.
L’attrait magnétique du succès de l’UE, de ses valeurs et de ses institutions, a contribué à transformer d’abord l’Europe méridionale, puis centrale et orientale et la perspective d’adhésion à l’UE fait à présent souffler un vent de réforme et de stabilité sur la Turquie et dans les Balkans occidentaux.
