From the Swiss legislation on plant protection, it appears that the Cantons of Fribourg and Vaud are no longer recognised as a protected zone for Erwinia amylovora (Burr.) Winsl. et al. in Switzerland as of 15 November 2009. The derogation allowing certain imports from those regions into certain protected zones under special requirements should therefore be deleted and Part B of Annex IV to Directive 2000/29/EC should be amended accordingly.

Il ressort de la législation phytosanitaire suisse que, depuis le 15 novembre 2009, les cantons de Fribourg et de Vaud ne sont plus reconnus zones protégées en Suisse, en ce qui concerne Erwinia amylovora (Burr.) Winsl. et al. Il convient dès lors que la dérogation en vertu de laquelle certaines importations en provenance de ces régions sont autorisées à destination de certaines zones protégées moyennant le respect d’exigences particulières soit supprimée et que la partie B de l’annexe IV de la directive 2000/29/CE soit modifiée en conséquence.
