Following up the Final Report of the CARS21 Group, the Commission will coordinate all policy actions supporting the market introduction of clean vehicles, including the deployment of plug-in electric and hybrid vehicles by ensuring timely regulation and standards, facilitating the roll out of recharging infrastructure, and potentially providing seed funding for key RD and demonstration projects (CARS 2020 Communication by November 2012).
