To encourage the proper handling of anti-theft devices by all institutions and economic agents referred to in Article 6(1) of Regulation (EC) No 1338/2001, it is appropriate for NCBs to charge the banknote handlers a fee to compensate for the analysis performed with regard to the exchange of genuine euro banknotes that have been damaged by anti-theft devices.
Afin d’encourager tous les établissements et agents économiques visés à l’article 6, paragraphe 1, du règlement (CE) no 1338/2001, à se servir correctement des dispositifs antivol, il convient pour les BCN de prélever des frais, auprès des entités maniant des billets, en dédommagement de l’analyse effectuée concernant l’échange de billets en euros authentiques qui ont été endommagés par suite de l’utilisation de dispositifs antivol.
