Under these circumstances, we must now urge the Member States and the Commission once and for all to adopt a position in keeping with the scourges that affect the world and to push for guidelines, measures and the means needed for fair and sustainable development, linking environmental protection to the eradication of poverty.
En ce moment et dans ces circonstances, il conviendrait d’insister auprès des États membres et de la Commission afin qu’ils décident définitivement et de manière déterminée une position adaptée aux fléaux qui frappent le monde et qu’ils se déterminent pour la promotion d’orientations et de mesures et pour l’obtention de moyens corrects en vue d’un développement équitable et durable, qui articule la protection de l’environnement avec l’éradication de la pauvreté.
