Pursuant to the conclusion of RAC that the available data did not allow quantification of the dose-response relationship for the health effects of BPA, the Agency's Committee for Socio-Economic Analysis (‘SEAC’) could not use the benefit estimates in the French dossier and therefore performed a break-even analysis, on the basis of which it concluded that overall the estimated costs outweigh the potential health benefits of the proposed restriction.
Conformément aux conclusions du CER selon lesquelles les données disponibles ne permettaient pas une quantification de la relation dose-réponse pour les effets sur la santé du BPA, le comité d'analyse socio-économique de l'Agence (ci-après le «CASE») n'a pas pu se fonder sur les estimations des avantages figurant dans le dossier français et a donc effectué une analyse de rentabilité, sur la base de laquelle il est arrivé à la conclusion que, globalement, les coûts estimés de la restriction proposée sont supérieurs aux bénéfices potentiels pour la santé.
