At a time when the EU is taking major steps towards a deep and genuine Economic and Monetary Union[1], of which democratic legitimacy is a cornerstone, with a Political Union on the horizon, it is all the more important to focus on the things the EU is doing to make citizens’ lives easier, to help them understand their rights and involve them in a debate on the Europe they want to live in and build for future generations.
À l’heure où l’Union progresse notablement sur la voie d’une Union économique et monétaire véritable et approfondie[1], dont la légitimité démocratique est un facteur essentiel, en ayant pour but ultime la création d’une Union politique, il importe d’autant plus de s’intéresser à ce que fait l’Union pour faciliter la vie des citoyens, pour les aider à comprendre leurs droits et pour les faire participer à un débat sur l’Europe dans laquelle ils veulent vivre et construire pour les générations futures.
