[English] Mr. Jim Gouk (Kootenay West-Revelstoke, Ref.): Mr. Speaker, the more I hear from the government, and from the Bloc Quebecois and its leader, it begs the question: Why are we wasting time trying to fix the problems of Confederation in Quebec when the leader of the Bloc, the heir apparent of the separatist Parti Quebecois in the province of Quebec, has stated that he will not accept anything that is done?

Jim Gouk (Kootenay-Ouest-Revelstoke, Réf.): Monsieur le Président, plus j'entends le gouvernement et en particulier le Bloc québécois et son chef, plus je me demande pourquoi nous perdons notre temps à essayer de régler les problèmes de la Confédération au Québec lorsque le chef du Bloc, l'héritier manifeste du poste de chef du Parti québécois séparatiste au Québec, a déclaré que cette province n'acceptera absolument rien de ce qu'on lui offrira.
