- as far as the inhabitants of the so-called frontier zones are concerned and the Commission's proposal to allow Member States application of lower monetary and quantitative thresholds, the Rapporteur is of an opinion that by choosing their place of residence near Community borders the citizens should not be treated any differently from any other ones.
– S'agissant des habitants des zones dites "frontalières" et de la proposition de la Commission visant à autoriser les États membres à appliquer des seuils financiers et quantitatifs plus bas, votre rapporteur est d'avis que, s'ils optent pour s'installer près des frontières communautaires, ces citoyens ne devraient pas être traités différemment des autres.
