Un État membre ne peut pas interdire, restreindre ou entraver la mise sur le marché ou la mise en service sur son territoire (y compris le transport, le stockage, la manutention ou le rechargement), pour des motifs tenant à l'application de la présente directive, d'unités de chargement intermodales qui sont conformes aux dispositions de la présente directive et / ou, le cas échéant, aux normes harmonisées applicables publiées au Journal officiel de l'Union européenne en vertu de la présente directive, et qui portent le marquage CE attestant de cette conformité ainsi que l'indication de contrôle périodique conformément à l'article 8.
