Dr. Voon Wee Yong of the University of Calgary is receiving funding, from both the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, for projects that will lead to greater understanding of the role of certain proteins, called matrix metalloproteinases, in the destruction of myelin.
