1. Where a variation is approved in accordance with Article 65 extending the marketing authorisation to another species listed in Article 34(1)(a), the period of the protection provided for in that Article shall be prolonged by 1 year for each additional target species, provided that the variation has been submitted at least 3 years before the expiration of the protection period laid down in Article 34(1)(a).

Lorsqu’une modification est approuvée conformément à l’article 65, par laquelle l’autorisation de mise sur le marché est étendue à une autre espèce dont les animaux sont mentionnés à l’article 34, paragraphe 1, point a), la période de protection prévue audit article est prorogée d’une année par espèce cible supplémentaire, pour autant que la demande de modification ait été soumise au moins trois ans avant l’expiration de la période de protection prévue à l’article 34, paragraphe 1, point a).
