International demand for rosé wine is not falling but rising, and in this case the right approach is not to produce more using winemaking practices that owe more to a chemistry set than anything else, but to invest in quality, in specialisation and in the characterisation of European wines, in the marketing and promotion of real wine in general in order to extend the market and finally make it easier for young people to enter the winemaking business.
La demande en vin rosé ne baisse pas, elle augmente, et dans le cas présent, l’approche adéquate ne consiste pas à utiliser des pratiques de vinification relevant davantage de la chimie que d’autre chose, mais d’investir dans la qualité, dans la spécialisation et dans la caractérisation des vins européens, dans le marketing et dans la promotion du vin authentique d’une manière générale, afin d’étendre le marché, et enfin de faciliter l’accès des jeunes aux métiers du vin.
