Définition: La plainte essentielle concerne une douleur persistante, intense, s'accompagnant d'un sentiment de détresse, non expliquée entièrement par un processus physiologique ou un trouble physique et survenant dans un contexte de conflits émotionnels et de problèmes psycho-sociaux suffisamment importants pour constituer la cause essentielle du trouble selon le clinicien. Le trouble assure habituellement au patient une aide et une sollicitude accrue
s de la part de son entourage et des médecins. Une douleur considérée comme psychogène mais survenant au cours d'un trouble dépressif ou d'une schizophrénie ne doit pas être classée ici. |
