(5) Tout appareil à gouverner principal entraîné par moteur doit être muni d’un dispositif permettant de l’arrêter avant que soient atteintes les butées du gouvernail, lequel dispositif est synchronisé avec la mèche du gouvernail ou avec la position de l’appareil plutôt qu’avec le système de commande de l’appareil à gouverner.
(5) Every power driven main steering gear shall be provided with a device for stopping the gear before the rudder stops are reached, and this device shall be synchronized with the rudder stock or with the position of the gear rather than with the steering gear control system.
