5.7.2. Lesdites prescriptions ne s'appliquent ni aux sièges situés le plus à l'arrière ni aux sièges faisant face vers les côtés ou vers l'arrière, ni aux sièges à dossier opposé, ni aux sièges rabattables ou sièges temporaires. Lorsque les zones d'impact des sièges, des appuis-tête et de leurs supports comportent des parties recouvertes d'un matériau de dureté inférieure à 50 shore A, les prescriptions ci-dessus, sauf celles relatives à l'absorption d'énergie au sens de l'annexe III, ne s'appliquent qu'aux parties rigides.
5.7.2. If the impact zones of the seats, head-restraints and their supports contain parts covered with material softer than 50 shore A hardness the above requirements, with the exception of those relating to energy dissipation described in Annex III, shall apply only to the rigid parts. These requirements shall not apply to the rearmost seats, to seats facing sideways or rearwards, to back-to-back seats.
