«norme harmonisée»: spécification technique adoptée par un organisme de normalisation, à savoir le Comité européen de normalisation (CEN), le Comité européen de normalisation électrotechnique (Cenelec) ou l'Institut européen des normes de télécommunication (ETSI), dans le cadre d'un mandat délivré par la Commission conformément aux procédures établies par la directive 98/34/CE du Parlement européen et du Conseil du 22 juin 1998 prévoyant une procédure d'information dans le domaine des normes et réglementations techniques et des règles relatives aux services de la société de l'information , et dépourvue de caractère obligatoire.
‘harmonised standard’ means a non-binding technical specification adopted by a standardisation body, namely the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN), the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardisation (CENELEC) or the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), on the basis of a remit issued by the Commission in accordance with the procedures laid down in Directive 98/34/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 June 1998 laying down a procedure for the provision of information in the field of technical standards and regulations and of rules on Information Society services
