Troisièmement, certes l'effet direct de la convention de Paris pourrait découler du renvoi à celle-ci opéré par l'article 2, paragraphe 1, de l'accord sur les aspects des droits de propriété intellectuelle qui touchent au commerce, toutefois, en l'absence de l'applicabilité directe de cet accord, ce renvoi ne peut conduire à une telle applicabilité de ladite convention.
Thirdly, while the direct effect of the Paris Convention could flow from the cross-reference made to it by Article 2(1) of the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (‘the TRIPs Agreement’), such a cross-reference cannot, in the absence of the direct applicability of the TRIPs Agreement, render the Paris Convention directly applicable.
