Par dérogation aux points c) et d), le titulaire d’une EIR monomoteur, également titulaire d’une qualification de classe ou de type multimoteur, qui souhaite obtenir une EIR multimoteur pour la première fois devra suivre un cours auprès d’un ATO comportant au moins 2 heures de vol aux instruments en instruction pendant la phase en route du vol à bord d'avions multimoteurs, et devra réussir l'examen pratique mentionné au point e).
By way of derogation from points (c) and (d), the holder of a single-engine EIR who also holds a multi-engine class or type rating wishing to obtain a multi-engine EIR for the first time, shall complete a course at an ATO comprising at least 2 hours instrument flight time under instruction in the en route phase of flight in multi-engine aeroplanes and shall pass the skill test referred to in point (e).
