4. Si l'agent auxiliaire ou l'assistant des membres du Parlement européen, employé sur le territoire d'un État membre autre que la République fédérale d'Allemagne, a opté pour l'application de la législation allemande, les dispositions de cette législation sont appliquées comme si l'agent auxiliaire ou l'assistant des membres du Parlement européen était employé au lieu où le gouvernement allemand a son siège ou comme s'il était employé au lieu où il a possédé en dernier lieu une résidence permanente en République fédérale d'Allemagne.
4. Where an auxiliary staff member or assistant to Members of the European Parliament , employed in the territory of a Member State other than Germany, has opted for German legislation to be applied, the provisions of that legislation shall be applied as though the auxiliary staff member or assistant were employed in the place where the German Government has its seat or as though the auxiliary staff member or assistant were employed in the place in which he had last been permanently resident in Germany.
