31 (1) Lorsqu’une invention est faite par plusieurs inventeurs et que l’un d’eux refuse de soumettre une demande de brevet ou que le lieu où il se trouve ne peut être déterminé après une enquête diligente, les autres inventeurs ou leur représentant légal peuvent soumettre une demande, et un brevet peut être accordé au nom des inventeurs qui font la demande, si le commissaire est convaincu que l’inventeur conjoint a refusé de soumettre une demande ou que le lieu où il se trouve ne peut être déterminé après une enquête diligente.
