L'exploitant ne doit sélectionner un aérodrome comme aérodrome de dégagement au décollage que si les observations ou prévisions météorologiques ou toute combinaison des deux, indiquent que, pour la période débutant une heure avant et se terminant une heure après l'heure estimée d'arrivée, sur cet aérodrome les conditions météorologiques seront égales ou supérieures aux minima d'atterrissage spécifiés conformément à l'OPS 1.225.
An operator shall not select an aerodrome as a take-off alternate aerodrome unless the appropriate weather reports or forecasts or any combination thereof indicate that, during a period commencing 1 hour before and ending 1 hour after the estimated time of arrival at the aerodrome, the weather conditions will be at or above the applicable landing minima specified in accordance with OPS 1.225.
