From this very angle, which Parliament had already approved, the Commission also contested the legal basis and declared that it would, in any event, submit a proposal that will also include holders of a long-stay visa and that it would once again pursue the objective of the French initiative, making it part of a broader framework.
Dans cette même perspective déjà approuvée par le Parlement, la Commission a contesté aussi la base juridique et déclaré que, de toute manière, elle présenterait une proposition incluant également les titulaires d’un visa de longue durée et qu’elle reprendrait, ainsi, l’objectif de l’initiative française en l’inscrivant dans un cadre plus global.
