Europe should continue to play a full part, in particular in the OECD and the Codex Alimentarius, and notably its Ad Hoc Intergovernmental Task-Force on Biotechnology, to promote within these organisations the development and periodic review of harmonised guidelines with respect to the risk analysis, the labelling and the traceability of products derived from modern biotechnology.
L'Europe, notamment par son groupe spécial intergouvernemental sur la biotechnologie, devrait continuer à jouer un rôle à part entière, en particulier au sein de l'OCDE et du Codex Alimentarius, pour favoriser l'élaboration et le réexamen périodique, au sein de ces organisations, d'orientations harmonisées en ce qui concerne l'analyse des risques, l'étiquetage et la traçabilité des produits issus de la biotechnologie moderne.
