– (IT) Mr President, ladies and gentlemen, Hamas may well have put on sheep’s clothing, but beneath that sheep’s clothing the wolf can still sometimes be seen, if it is really true that, in the last few days, the Interior Minister, Said Siam, in moving away for the first time from a practice introduced by President Arafat to help secularise the country, has encouraged a visible sign of the Talibanisation of Palestine along Hamas lines, by allowing Palestinian policemen to grow their beards.
- (IT) Monsieur le Président, Mesdames et Messieurs, le Hamas a beau avoir revêtu la toison de l’agneau, mais des poils de loup pointent encore de-ci de-là sous la toison, s’il est vrai que, ces jours-ci, le ministre de l’intérieur, Said Siam, s’écartant pour la première de la volonté de sécularisation du pays imposée par Arafat, a encouragé par un signe tangible - il a autorisé les policiers palestiniens à laisser pousser leur barbe - le processus de talibanisation de la Palestine, dans la droite ligne du Hamas.
