It is important to have very broad support tomorrow, and I sense this support from many people’s reactions. This will give this House an excellent point of departure, particularly for the negotiations with the Council, as I believe that, together with the Commission – and I thank the Commissioner for his clear position – Parliament will be able to create a situation tomorrow that will ultimately produce a successful conclusion to the negotiations with the Council.
Il est fondamental que nous obtenions un très large soutien demain et je pressens ce soutien à travers les réactions de nombreuses personnes, ce qui donnera à ce Parlement un excellent point de départ, en particulier en vue des négociations avec le Conseil. Je pense qu’avec la Commission – je remercie d’ailleurs le commissaire pour la clarté de sa position –, le Parlement sera en mesure de créer demain une situation qui, au bout du compte, entraînera une conclusion positive des négociations avec le Conseil.
