(59) More recently, on the basis of a study carried out in the Netherlands(24), the SCTEE(25) highlighted the environmental risks associated with the use of creosote-treated wood in the aquatic environment (surface water and groundwater) even at very low concentration of BaP contained in the creosote used for wood treatment.
