2. With a view to establishing whether there has been fraud, corruption or any other illegal activity affecting the financial interests of the Union in connection with a grant agreement or decision or a contract concerning Union funding, the Office may, in accordance with the provisions and procedures laid down by Regulation (Euratom, EC) No 2185/96, conduct on-the-spot checks and inspections on economic operators.
2. En vue d’établir l’existence d’une fraude, d’un acte de corruption ou de toute autre activité illégale portant atteinte aux intérêts financiers de l’Union, en liaison avec une convention ou décision de subvention ou un contrat concernant un financement de l’Union, l’Office peut procéder, conformément aux dispositions et procédures prévues par le règlement (Euratom, CE) no 2185/96, à des contrôles et vérifications sur place auprès d’opérateurs économiques.
