Bearing in mind that the determination of the flow of economic migration is a matter for Member States, I propose that when they are devised, EU regulations on the admission of economic migrants should be confined to the minimum criteria for migrant admission, and should leave the Member State the right to make a final decision, all the more so because the EU does not have a common industrial policy.
En gardant à l’esprit que la gestion des flux de migrations économiques est l’affaire des États membres, je propose que, lorsqu’elles seront conçues, les réglementations européennes sur l’admission des migrants économiques se limitent à la définition de conditions minimales pour l’admission des migrants et laissent aux États membres le droit de prendre la décision finale, d’autant plus que l’UE n’a pas de politique industrielle commune.
