However, for the sake of clarity, the attention of the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Consumer Policy is drawn to the fact that Directive 86/609 set up a permanent consultative committee to assist the Commission in organising the exchange of appropriate information, and in the other questions raised by the application of that Directive.
