Within days of an individual being designated a dangerous or long-term offender, the CSC are at the local detention centre and the local jail interviewing the offender, looking for contacts and a support group, et cetera, and building the vast volume of information that the CSC works towards in determining how this individual can be first assessed as a risk and then what we can do to manage this risk.
