By the notified operation, Agfa-Gevaert will acquire Sterling's conventional medical imaging interests involving conventional X-ray film and the supply of processing and film handling equipment, its interests in the supply of 'wet' and 'dry' digital imaging equipment (other than the 'Helios' technology) and its interests in picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), sometimes also referred to as 'filmless' or 'film free' imaging systems.
