In considering this case, which was notified to it by the French authorities in accordance with Article 93(3) of the EEC Treaty, the Commission also took account of the contribution which the investment will make, because of the close proximity of the site, to the economic development of the assisted areas of Meurthe-et- Moselle which have been faced with very severe job losses in manufacturing and a high level of emigration on account of the restructuring of the steel industry.
Dans l'examen de ce cas qui lui a été notifié par les autorités françaises, conformément à l'article 93.3 du Traité CEE, la Commission a également pris en compte la contribution qu'apportera l'investissement, de par sa proximité, au développement économique des zones aidées de Meurthe-et-Moselle qui ont dû faire face à des pertes d'emplois très élevées dans le secteur industriel et à une émigration importante en raison de la restructuration de l'industrie sidérurgique.
