If this government is really concerned about social justice and the future of Quebecers and Canadians, we would have expected it to have realized that the editorial writers, who represent an important segment of our society, are unanimously asking the federal government to increase transfer payments, and health transfers in particular, so that those who work on the front line, that is the provinces, can meet the particular needs of their citizens.
Si c'est vrai que ce gouvernement est préoccupé par la justice sociale et par le devenir des Québécois et des Canadiens, on se serait attendu à ce qu'il se rende à l'évidence que tous les éditorialistes, un segment important de nos concitoyens, demandent au gouvernement fédéral de hausser les paiements de transfert, de hausser les transferts en santé, de telle sorte que celles qui livrent les services en première ligne, c'est-à-dire les provinces, puissent répondre convenablement aux besoins de nos citoyens.
