Ujjal Dosanjh: With regard to the Department of National Defence, what is the list of all equipment procurement projects with a value of over $25 million that are either currently in progress or have been announced publicly, including: (a) the piece of equipment being purchased and the quantity; (b) the date the project was announced; (c) the total value (or expected value) of the project and of any related contracts such as maintenance or repair; (d) the date the project received Treasury Board approval; (e) the date the contract was awarded and to whom; (f) the dates of commencement of delivery and end of delivery ...[+++]; and (g) for each project, what is the breakdown of the original and most recent schedule, including all project phases and costing, and a detailed explanation for each case where the original and most recent schedule are not the same?

A clear distinction must be made between the applicant's obligations, which end once the total quantity of raw material harvested is delivered, and the obligations, including the requirement concerning securities, incumbent on collectors and first processors, which commence on delivery and end with the final processing of the raw materials into end products.

Whereas certain provisions should be added to Commission Regulation (EC) No 1169/97 (2) in order to make management of the new scheme introduced by Regulation (EC) No 2202/96 more flexible; whereas, to that end, it should be made possible to include in contracts covering one marketing year a written amendment within each delivery period and to include in multiannual contracts the opportunity to carry a limited percentage of the quantities to be supplied during one delivery period forward to the following period in the same marketing year; whereas, also, the time for notifying delivery to the designated body should be put back;

The approval concerns the following operating aid schemes: - the index loan scheme; the Danish Government has decided to slow down the phasing out of the scheme, meaning that ships ordered by the end of 1992 for delivery by the end of 1993 will now qualify for 45% index-linked loans, ships ordered by the end of 1992 for delivery by the end of 1994 will qualify for 39% index-linked loans and ships ordered by the end of 1993 for delivery by the end of 1995 will qualify for 30% index-linked loans.
