The main elements of the proposed Regulation are as follows: (i) Priority will be given to use of the aid to finance or part-finance cooperation projects or operations aimed at economic modernization and development in Hungary and Poland (ii) The cooperation projects or operations will cover agriculture, industry, investment, energy, training, protection of the environment, trade and services; they must benefit the private sector in particular in Hungary and Poland (iii) Aid will be granted by the Community either autonomously or with co-financing from the Member States, non-member countries or multilateral organizations (iv) The select ...[+++]ion of operations to be financed will be made in line with the preferences and wishes expressed by Poland and Hungary (v) An Advisory Committee comprising representatives of the Member States and chaired by a Commission representative will be set up to advise on the various aid operations planned (vi) From 1990 the Commission will draw up each year a report on the implementation of cooperation operations.
