“Genetically modified food” means a food that is derived from a plant, animal, microorganism or other biological entity capable of transferring or replicating genetic material including sterile organisms, viruses and viroids when such entity possesses a novel combination of genetic material obtained through the use of modern biotechnology.
«aliment transgénique» Aliment provenant d'un végétal, d'un animal, d'un microorganisme ou de toute autre entité biologique qui est capable de transférer ou de répliquer du matériel génétique, y compris des organismes stériles, des virus et des viroïdes, et qui possède une combinaison inédite de matériel génétique obtenue par recours à la biotechnologie moderne.
