(6) Since the objective of the action to be taken, namely the creation of common statistical standards that permit the production of harmonized data, cannot be sufficiently achieved by the Member States and can therefore be better achieved at Community level, the Community may adopt measures, in accordance with the principle of subsidiarity as set out in Article 5 of the Treaty.
(6) Étant donné que l'objectif poursuivi par l'action envisagée, à savoir la création de normes statistiques communes permettant de produire des données harmonisées, ne peut pas être réalisé de manière suffisante par les États membres et peut donc être mieux réalisé au niveau communautaire, la Communauté peut prendre des mesures, dans le respect du principe de subsidiarité consacré à l'article 5 du traité.
