External evaluations have stressed that the horizontal role in the delivery of European business support services, such as the Euro Info Centres (EICs) or Innovation Relay Centres (IRCs), should be strengthened. This concerns the dissemination of information on Community programmes and the promotion of the participation of SMEs in those programmes, in particular SME participation in the Community framework programme for research, technological development and demonstration and in Europe-wide public tendering procedures.
Des évaluations externes ont insisté sur la nécessité de renforcer le rôle horizontal dans la mise à disposition de services européens d'appui aux entreprises, tels que, par exemple, les Euro Info Centres (EIC) ou les Centres Relais Innovation (CRI), pour la diffusion d'informations sur les programmes communautaires et la promotion de la participation des PME à ces programmes, en particulier la participation des PME au programme-cadre communautaire de recherche, de développement technologique et de démonstration ainsi qu'aux marchés publics mis en adjudication à l'échelon européen.
