Le problème semble à première vue insurmontable, mais des groupes de ma circonscription, comme le St. Andrew's HEARTS de Fergus, s'occupent d'une école, d'un orphelinat et d'un programme d'alimentation à Cap-Haïtien afin de permettre à un petit nombre d'enfants d'échapper au cycle de la pauvreté (1410) J'ai été heureux d'apprendre que le Canada appuie une initiative mondiale de l'Organisation internationale du travail pour mettre fin au travail des enfants et que, chaque jour, l'ACDI consacre un million de son budget à des programmes qui visent à répondre aux besoins des enfants.
