Is it aware of moves by the US State Department to open an investigation or to seek information or recommendations with a view to reaching agreements involving the Sol-Meliá Group prior to applying the Act to the said group and other European undertakings, including Club Med and LTU, thus blatantly violating the agreements reached between the European Commission and the Clinton administration within the Transatlantic Summit framework granting European undertakings exemption from the scope of the Helms-Burton Act?
La Commission a-t-elle eu connaissance de l'ouverture d'une enquête ou d'une demande d'information ou de recommandations de la part du Département d'État américain, visant le groupe Sol-Melià, en vue d'arriver à des accords avant l'application de la loi à ce groupe et à d'autres entreprises de l'UE (Club Méd, LTU), en violation flagrante des accords conclus entre la Commission européenne et l'Administration Clinton dans le cadre du sommet transatlantique et qui excluaient les entreprises européennes du champ d'application de la loi Helms-Burton ?
