In view of the Johannesburg Summit, the provisions laid down by the International Criminal Court and the Cotonou agreements, and in response to this scandal which I believe threatens the global ecosystem and to the reign of poaching and violations of human rights, I believe that the European Union should ask the UN Security Council to initiate proceedings against those who are implicated, particularly by freezing assets and conducting enquiries into pogroms and other acts of violence committed against the people.
Eu égard au sommet de Johannesburg, eu égard aux dispositions prévues par la Cour pénale internationale et aux accords de Cotonou, face à ce scandale qui porte atteinte, je crois, à l'écosystème à l'échelle de la planète, face au règne du braconnage, aux violations des droits de l'homme, je crois que l'Union européenne doit demander au Conseil de sécurité de l'ONU l'ouverture d'une procédure à l'encontre des personnes incriminées, notamment par le gel des avoirs et la réalisation d'enquêtes sur les pogroms et autres violences faites aux peuples.
