Accreditation of the laboratory of the manufacturer is possible as long as it satisfies the selection criteria; - the directive demands that the Member States should take all suitable measures to ensure that only terminals which meet the requirements set out in the directive are marketed. The Member States may take measures to disconnect any equipment which is not approved; - certified equipment will all bear an identical mark, namely, the "EC" mark, and other distinctive symbols making them readily identifiable.
