(2) Despite subsection (1), where, on or after January 1, 2000, a person would be eligible, were it not for these Regulations, to exercise an option under subsection 12(3) or section 13.01 of the Act, the person may exercise such an option no later than one year after the date on which the person ceases to be employed in the Public Service and becomes employed by the new employer.
(2) Malgré le paragraphe (1), la personne qui, le 1 janvier 2000 ou après cette date, aurait le droit, en l’absence du présent règlement, d’exercer un choix en vertu du paragraphe 12(3) ou de l’article 13.01 de la Loi peut exercer un tel choix au plus tard à l’expiration du délai d’un an suivant la date où elle cesse d’être employée dans la fonction publique pour devenir employée du nouvel employeur.
