Likewise, the rules in Articles 12 to 16 of the Convention have an undeniable impact on trade in chemicals because they offer importing countries the tools and information they need to identify potential hazards associated with the use of such products and therefore to refuse or restrict the entry into their territory of chemicals which they have banned, severely restricted or, as the case may be, cannot manage or use in conditions of total safety.
24 Dans la même perspective, les règles inscrites aux articles 12 à 16 de la convention auraient un impact indéniable sur les échanges de produits chimiques puisqu’ils offriraient aux pays importateurs les outils et les informations nécessaires pour identifier les dangers potentiels liés à l’utilisation de ces produits et, partant, refuser ou restreindre l’entrée, sur leur territoire, de produits qu’ils ont eux-mêmes interdits ou strictement réglementés ou, le cas échéant, qu’ils ne peuvent gérer et utiliser en toute sécurité.
