– (IT) Madam President, ladies and gentlemen, first and foremost this proposal – from both the rapporteur and the Commission – is an important pact to provide funding to mitigate the impact of spiralling food prices in the Community, which is putting an increasing number of people in difficulty and making the supply of food aid more costly.
– (IT) Madame la Présidente, Mesdames et Messieurs, je tiens tout d’abord à souligner que cette proposition – aussi bien du rapporteur que de la Commission – représente un pacte important pour fournir un financement afin d’atténuer l’impact de la spirale des prix des denrées alimentaires dans la Communauté, mettant en difficulté un nombre croissant de personnes et augmentant le prix de la fourniture de l’aide alimentaire.
