Can the Commission say whether it has carried out any investigation into the cost of adapting European undertakings to the Euro, what the outcome of that investigation is likely to be and what will be the average cost to each European firm, in particular small firms, of adapting to the changes required by exclusive use of the single currency as from 1 January 2002?
La Commission pourrait-elle indiquer si elle a mené une enquête sur les frais liés à l'adaptation des entreprises européennes à l'euro ? Dans l'affirmative, quels en sont les résultats ? Quels sont, en moyenne, les frais qui devront être supportés par les entreprises européennes, notamment celles de petite taille, pour s'adapter aux changements occasionnés par l'introduction, au 1er janvier 2002, de la monnaie unique, l'euro ?
